The annual Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet is held in late January or early February each year. This annual membership event is usually attended by over 400 local citizens who enjoy a meal, program and presentation of awards to local citizens for their contributions to the community. 

Annual awards are given in the following categories

Citizen of the Year presented by Echo Publishing Company,
Vision Award presented by the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,
Lady of the Year award presented by Beta Sigma Phi sorority,
Agriculturist of the Year presented by the Professional Ag Workers Committee,
Community Pride Awards presented by the Adult Leadership Sulphur Springs class,
Growth & Renewal Award presented by the SS Downtown Business Alliance,

Outgoing Directors awards and Ambassador of the Year award presented by the Chamber.
Educator of the Year, Large Business of the Year and Small Business of the Year presented by the Chamber.
