Saltillo ISD

Saltillo school is made up of about 268 students from the Saltillo, Greenwood and Weaver communities in the eastern part of Hopkins County. Paul Jones is superintendent.

The school board consists of seven board members who meet at 7 p.m. the third Thursday of the month. Prekindergarten through high school classes ranging from agricultural science, family and consumer science, band and college credit classes are offered. Recently the high school and elementary school computer labs have been converted to use the thin client server based system. Saltillo ISD is the first school in Hopkins County that is using this system at this magnitude.

The school participates in Academic UIL activities, and FFA contests. School sponsored clubs include Beta, FCCLA, FFA, and Spanish Club. Sports offered include cross country, basketball, track, baseball and softball.
